Create and outwork a visual identity for The Leprosy Mission’s largest fundraising campaign of the year, this year entitled ‘Flourish”. Subsequently, design supporting campaign collateral to connect with The Leprosy Mission’s audiences.
The Leprosy Mission, England & Wales is a Christian international NGO. They are the largest and oldest player in the fight against leprosy and are working towards the goal of zero leprosy transmission by 2035. Their vision is 'leprosy defeated, lives transformed'.
Having previously worked with TLM on previous years fundraising campaign design and collateral, the look and feel of this campaign needed to be visually distinct and recognisable. The theme of this year was focusing around the tea gardens of Bangladesh, an area of the world that is lacking leprosy awareness, diagnosis and access to treatment. The headline ‘Flourish’ sought to visually connect with the growth of the tea plants and mirror the lives of those affected by leprosy being able to ‘flourish’ with early diagnosis and the right treatment.
From early on, the connection to the tea plantations and the people working in them came through the photography and in the stories being told. The visually identity we would create sought to put the stories of people front and centre as well as creating a versatile logo system for the campaign based around a tea leaf.
Outworking the campaign design into the supporting collateral included a magazine, appeal mailings, display stands, and a resource pack for social media promotion. The final campaign was very well received by TLM and target audiences.
