Rebrand Oxford Optical Laboratories to communicate in a business to business environment. This would include a full logo package and comprehensive brand guidelines. Oxford Optical Laboratories is a consultancy team uniquely bringing together experience from optics and ophthalmics in order to see their vision of better vision become a reality.
Oxford Optical Labs uniquely brings together expertise from the often disparate worlds of optics and ophthalmics to create better products. Innovating to address emergent problems in optical systems for human and machine vision.
For a business to business (B2B) brand, Oxford Optical Labs’ vision didn’t match their existing brand. They needed to build a brand that would serve their needs as they grow the consultancy business as well as provide a comprehensive brand that communicated the big picture vision.
The key challenge was creating a brand strategy that effectively communicated their messaging and beliefs. Their belief that “better vision is possible and can be achieved” was at the core of the brand and needed to be front and centre in all their communications.
Developing the brand began with working through a brand discovery workshop, delving into personas, understanding the core values of the company and highlighting the needs of their potential clients. From this we developed a unique logo system which reflected the uniqueness of human and machine vision. The bold nature of the brand called for an equally bold design language. The final brand guidelines packaged this together and is now in the process of going live.
Oxford Optical are just beginning their journey in rolling out the new brand but initial feedback from the team and current clients has been incredibly positive and we are looking forward to seeing this brand out in the wild.
